(Tampa, FL) Tampa based printing and direct mail company SonicPrint.com is proud to announce the expansion of operations into its newest print manufacturing facility at 5018 Tampa West Blvd, in Tampa, Florida.
“The print shop relocation is a direct effect of our growth in the 12 months.” said Paul DeRoo, the company’s general manager, “While the printing industry itself has contracted like the rest of economy, the purchase of a new 6-color press last year created new sales opportunities that have taxed our current facilities. This move is necessary to meet customer demand and improve the efficiency of our printing operations.”
In 2009, SonicPrint.com acquired the assets of a large sheet-fed lithograph printing plant and moved headquarters from Saint Petersburg to Tampa. The purchase of the warehouse at 5018 Tampa West Blvd. is in response to the increased business gained by the first acquisition last year.
While there is never a convenient time to move 250,000 pounds of industrial manufacturing equipment, SonicPrint.com sees this expansion as the right decision for the growth of the company. “The real estate market presented us an opportunity to make a purchase that wouldn’t have been feasible two or three years ago” noted Paul, “However in today’s market, we’re able to improve our facilities substantially while benefiting from reduced operating costs.”
The local community of the Tampa Bay has benefited from the growth of SonicPrint.com as well. In the last 13 months, the company has nearly doubled their full time staff. “We are extremely proud to be a part of the local Tampa Bay area community,” said Paul.
In late September, SonicPrint.com plans an open house to share the new facility with customers, friends, families and vendors.
